Dajerria Becton,  the 15 year old girl assaulted  on video by McKinney Police Officer Eric Casebolt,  has finally been given the opportunity to speak about her attack.  Ms. Becton told Fox 4 News  that the officer “grabbed me, twisted my arm on my back and shoved me in the grass and started pulling the back of my braids.” According to the 15 year she was telling the officer to get off of her because her back was “hurting bad[ly].”

I’ve been waiting to hear her speak about her attack, especially in light of her name and face now being plastered all over the internet. Anyone who isn’t blind, – or in complete denial –  can see there was nothing appropriate about the way officer Eric Casebolt handled this swimsuit-clad,  unarmed child.

Let’s all just hope that this girl is both protected and supported by her family and the Black community alike for,  obviously, the White residents of that McKinney suburb are neither reasonable nor protective when it comes to our Black children. Black Lives Matter.
