I love college football. I’ve followed it closely for years. But let’s be real, no one cares about all of the Top 25 teams, unless you’re rooting for a team that’s 22. Otherwise, the only rankings that matter are the Top 5. Those are the money teams. Those are the teams that are in contention to play for the Championship in January. So those are the only ones I like to rank.
Every week, you’ll get my top five, plus my games to watch and my upset games. Feel free to disagree with me, but just know this: I’m right and you’re wrong.
Dwill’s NCAA Rankings (week 4):
1. Alabama: The only weak link on that team is the QB, and they can overcome a shitty QB.
2. Louisville:Lamar Jackson is a beast and may even be better than Mike Vick was at VT.
3. Michigan and Ohio State
Important games this week. I think there are going to be a whole lot of angry and upset fans come Sunday morning. A lot of potential for some big upsets this week. Here are the games I think you should definitely be watching Week 4:
#5 Clemson vs. Georgia Tech: Winner Clemson (You’re reading this after this game, but I picked Clemson earlier in the day, and didn’t get around to filing this story until this AM. Needless to say Clemson rolled over GT. The game wasn’t even as close as the 26-7 score would suggest)
USC vs. #24 Utah: Winner Utah – USC is a complete mess this year and the Utes will definitely continue to show the world that USC should have done its best to keep Pete Carroll
#12 Georgia vs. #23 Ole Miss: UPSET ALERT! Winner Ole Miss – Don’t let the 1-2 start fool you, Ole Miss is a team that has an over abundance of talent. They’re putting up over 38 points per game this season, they just need their defense to step up.
#11 Wisconsin vs. #8 Michigan State:Winner Michigan State – First big matchup out of the Big Ten. Expect Michigan State to show that they’re a legit team. Keep an eye on Tyson Smith, he’s a real one. Michigan State has won the last 4 meetings, this week will make it 5.
#19 Florida vs. #14 Tennessee: UPSET ALERT! Winner Florida
#17 Arkansas vs. #10 Texas A&M: UPSET ALERT! Winner Arkansas
#3 Louisville vs. Marshall : Winner Lousiville – This just might be a 100 point game from Louisville. Expectat least 800 yards of offense from the Cardinals. Lamar Jackson is the best college QB since Michael Vick and he’s going to put up the type of numbers that will make him a lock to be drafted number 1.
#7 Stanford vs UCLA: Winner Stanford – IF Christian McCaffery can be controlled UCLA will win. That’s a big IF, and I just don’t see that happening.
That’s all for this week. See you next Thursday.
